Christmas in July

Yes I am jumping on the bandwagon and making a Christmas card in July. ;) This particular card is for the Ink It Pink Challenge over on the Pink By Design blog. ;) I got very stamp happy with this one!

So let me start off by listing the stamps I used...PTI stamp sets: Hello Sunshine, Banner Builder, Mat Stack #4 (die as well). The gorgeous sentiment stamp is Pink By Design. ;) (Love that stamp of the month set!)
Paper: PTI: True Black, New Leaf , Vintage Cream, and Rustic Cream. The DP is Recollections.
Ink I used: PTI: Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Scarlet Jewel, Enchanted Evening, Dark Chocolate, and True Black.

Hope you like it! I would love to hear your thoughts so please leave a comment if you wish. :)

Papertrey Ink July 2012 Blog Hop!

Yay! My new stamps and paper and ink pads came in just in the nick of time! (As in yesterday! :) lol)
Here is the inspiration photo and colors...
I chose to go with a summer theme. There are flowers in there (on some of the hexagons) but I just got the Hello Sunshine stamp set and couldn't wait to use it! :) Here is my interpretation:

Everything (except the Stamper's Select White card stock and the Summer Sunrise stuff) is brand spankin' new. I just had to play around with it all! I used the Happy Hexagons stamp set for the background pattern and the card base is Rustic Cream. The panel itself is Vintage Cream.
I used the Mat Stack #4 die and stamp set as well as the Limitless Layers Circles die. The sentiment and little sunburst are from the Hello Sunshine stamp set.
All of the inks I used are listed in the inspiration picture ;)

Thanks for looking! I had a lot of fun making this card. I would love to hear your thoughts so please leave a comment if you wish.

Blessings: Though it may be part time, I have a job that lets me stay home with my amazing son and pay for my crazy crafting hobby. Plus it's a job that I love because it involves my other passion: teaching dance. ;) Have a wonderful day!

Back In Black

Over on the CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog this week its...

Here is my interpretation...
The card base is PTI True Black. The white is Stamper's Select White. The stamps are from the Boy Basics: Rock On set. The inks I used: Summer Sunrise, Aqua Mist, Simply Chartreuse, and Smokey Shadow.
I love the simplicity of this card. :)

Thanks for looking. I would love to hear your thoughts so please leave a comment if you wish.

Tag Your It: Ink It Pink #7

Well, my Pink by Design stamps are on their way to me so I couldn't use them this week, but hopefully they will be here soon! :) It says you can use any vendors through the summer so I am hoping that is still the case ;) Here is my entry for the Tag Your It challenge to use a tag on your project. :)

It's that time of year again when I need to get started on the invites to our annual Halloween Party. I usually make them all different because it's a lot more fun for me that way. ;)
I used K&Company DP, PTI Stamper's Select White card stock, and DCWV Ghosts and Goblins coordinated card stock. The ribbon is from my stash. The tag die is from PTI. The witch shoes stamp is from Michael's and the sentiment is Studio G.
Halloween is my favorite holiday (coming in a VERY close 2nd only to Christmas :) lol) and I am excited to get started on my Halloween cards! :)

Thanks for looking. I would love to hear your thoughts so please leave a comment if you wish. :)

I'm Back!!!

So after my vacation (which was not so relaxing, but a lot of fun since we took my 2 1/2 year old son on a plane to visit his Papa and Mimi Cook in St. Thomas) I feel like I've lost my mojo...

Most of you know, I LOVE Papertrey Ink. I try to join in on the Make It Mondays as often as possible. This last week it was a cool "roll the die" (as in dice) challenge. Somehow on my sheet all of the hardest elements came up! LOL, my luck. ;) Anyhoo I'm not super excited about this card, but I don't hate it either. It's just WAY out of my comfort zone. But I had a really good time trying and will probably try this challenge again sometime...maybe when my mojo returns. ;) So here it is: Make it Monday #75
Here's what came up when I rolled the dice:
1. Vertical
2. Sketch #2
3. The Boy Basics: Rock On stamp set
4. Movers and Shakers as the supporting sentiment stamp set
5. Black White and Red color combo
6. Just the Ticket for my embellishment
I used a mix of PTI cardstock (True Black, and Stampers Select White) Recollections cardstock, DCWV dp, Recollections dp, and My Minds Eye dp.
Hope you like it...I think its...interesting. :)
