Lots 'O Cards :)

I just realized I have a ton of (not really a TON but, you know) cards that I haven't shared yet so here is a pic heavy post. :)

This is a quick card I made using the My Creative Time stamps I won recently. Ink is Colorbox, banner is handcut DCWV paper, and the green bling is Darice.
This was actually for a challenge but when I was done with it I realized it didn't quite meet the challenge requirements. The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch and embossed with my Texture Boutique. The stamps are Inkadinkado and I used Colorbox ink. I hand cut the banner and the card stock is Recollections.
This is a super quick card, two stamps and your done! The banner is a Michael's dollar bin find and I used some markers to ink it up and get the different colors. The sentiment is Inkadinkado and I used Colorbox ink.
This was also for a challenge but I didn't get it linked up in time ;) The Lion is from The B is for Boy Cricut Lite Cartridge. The patterned paper is DCWV and Recollections. The cardstock is Recollections. I used an EK Success edge punch that was an embossed line with punched dots to create the holes for the hand stitching. The stamp is old Inkadinkado and I used Colorbox ink.
I used a Clean & Simple sketch for this one. The crown is a Martha Stewart punch, the pearls are Studio 112, I hand cut the banner out of Recollections patterned paper and the stamp is Studio G and embossed in gold. :)

Thanks for looking and I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish! :)

New Challenge for Me :)

I found this challenge blog, Color Throwdown via a blog I follow (can't remember which one sorry!) And I decided to play along this week! Here is the color combo...
So here is what I came up with...
The card stock is a combo of Recollections, The Paper Company, and Bazzill. The patterned paper is Recollections Floral Garden Stack.
The doilies are PTI. The bling is Recollections (the rhinestone and the pink brads.) The banner is also PTI.
The twine is Honeydew from the Twinery. The edge punch is Martha Stewart Deco Fan.

Hope you enjoy it and I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish! :)

Craft Your Passion Challenges :)

This week over on the Craft Your Passion Challenges blog the theme is Monochromatic. I have been obsessed with yellow lately (I have no clue why! Lol!) So I decided to try yellow. :) Here it is...

So the patterned paper is Recollections and DCWV. The hand cut banner in the background was also embossed using my Texture Boutique and an embossing folder from the Cuttlebug Preserves pack.
I cut the circles using my BigKick and Spellbinders circles dies. You can't really tell in the pic but I used a circle stamp from a set I recently won to stamp around the first circle. The stamp in the middle is from the same set (I can't remember what it's called;( ) The bling is Me and My Big Ideas. The ribbon is and OLD Michael's dollar bin find. :)

Hope you like it! I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish! :)

Playing With My New PTI Goodies! :)

I had some time last night to play around with my new PTI goodies! So excited I just LOVE Papertrey Ink! So anyhoo, I noticed the challenge over on the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog was ANYTHING GOES so I created a cute little card using my new goodies. :) Here it is...

The tickets, the doily, the note card, and the the stamps on the tickets are all PTI.
Here is a close up. I used Colorbox ink and the music stamp is a background stamp I had in my stash. The twine is Caribbean from the Twinery.
More close ups :) The card stock and patterned paper are Recollections.
The card is a little longer than normal its 4 1/4x6.

I really like this card :) Hope you do too! I would love to hear what you think so leave a comment if you wish! :)

Color Challenge at the Playdate Cafe

So I finally got to play along at the Play Date Cafe. I haven't been over there in a while...here is the color challenge...

 Here is my interpretation...
So I have to tell you, I just received my very first order from Papertrey Ink. I LOVE PTI! I was so excited when my package showed up on my front porch I can't even tell you! :) So I have been playing with my new dies and stamps A LOT! Hehehe. Anyhoo, the card stock and patterned paper are Recollections as well as the stamp. :)
Here is a close up of the doily. It's PTI and so are the tickets and the stamps on the tickets. The velum sticker is OLD EK Success. The little heart stamp is Studio G and I used Colorbox ink.
A close up of the Recollections stamp. And the PTI die cut for the banner. :)
Well thanks for looking, I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish! :)

Late Deconstruction :)

LOL...I did this card a while ago and for some reason have not posted it yet! It's a good thing that the Deconstructed Sketches links don't close! :) Here is the sketch (#44)
 And here is my interpretation...
Instead of a center panel I added two stamped butterflies. :) All the patterned paper is Recollections Mosaic Memories Stack. My all time favorite stack I think! :) Some of the card stock is Recollections and some is Bazzill.
The stamp is also Recollections and I used black Colorbox ink to ink it up with. I hand cut the banner and the rhinestones are The Paper Studio.
A close up of the butterflies. The stamp is from a kit my Aunt Mary Sue gave me and so I can't remember the brand, but I just LOVE this stamp. I recently "rediscovered" it :) I used some green Colorbox ink to ink it up with.
The border punch is Fiskars Apron Lace.

Hope you like it. I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish! :)

CAS-ual Friday, A 1st For Me :)

So I decided to play along with the CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week. This particular challenge is to use a song as inspiration. For some reason after I read that I got the song "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry stuck in my head. Here are the lyrics:
"If I Die Young"

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a, bed of roses
Sink me in the river, at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

Uh oh, uh oh

Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother
She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors, oh well
Life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no
Ain't even grey, but she buries her baby

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I've had just enough time

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I've had just enough time

And I'll be wearing white, when I come into your kingdom
I'm as green as the ring on my little cold finger,
I've never known the lovin' of a man
But it sure felt nice when he was holdin' my hand,
There's a boy here in town, says he'll love me forever,
Who would have thought forever could be severed by

The sharp knife of a short life, well,
I've had just enough time

So put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls
What I never did is done

A penny for my thoughts, oh no, I'll sell 'em for a dollar
They're worth so much more after I'm a goner
And maybe then you'll hear the words I been singin'
Funny when you're dead how people start listenin'

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

Uh oh (uh, oh)
The ballad of a dove (oh, uh)
Go with peace and love
Gather up your tears, keep 'em in your pocket
Save 'em for a time when you're really gonna need 'em, oh

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I've had just enough time

So put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls

It may seem a bit morbid at first but really it's not ;) I love this song, it's just gorgeous.
Here is what I made...
The line "lay me down on a bed of roses" made me think of this patterned paper. It's from the Recollections Floral Garden stack.
The song makes me think that I should tell the people I love, that I love them and I'm thinking about them everyday. :) The stamp is old Inkadinkado and I used some black Colorbox ink to ink it up with. The twine is Pink Sorbet from The Twinery.
The metal heart and dots are Colorbok.
I used my BigKick and my Spellbinders Lacey Squares dies to make the focus panel. I used a scrap sheet of polka dot paper that I had used to cut some butterflies out of. The polka dot paper is Recollections from the Floral Garden stack and the butterfly punch is Martha Stewart. The pearls are Studio 112 (and were inspired by the line "so put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls." :)
The border punch is Fiskars Apron Lace.

Well hope you like it! I really really really like this card and think I will use this idea of songs for inspiration in the future as well. Thanks CAS-ual Fridays! :)

Freshly Made #28

Time for another Freshly Made Sketches Sketch! Here is the sketch...

 And here is my take...
It's a little bit different for me...to get the shape of the polka dot paper I used a Fiskars edge+corner punch. All the patterned paper is Recollections. The card stock is Recollections and The Paper Company.
The butterflies are the Martha Stewart Classic butterfly punch and I added a Studio 112 black pearl to the center.
The bling is Studio G and the stamp is Recollections and embossed in black powder. I hand cut the banner. :)

Hope you like it, it's a little different than what I usually do...thanks for looking and I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish! :)

Merry Monday #13

Hello, I have a card I made for the Merry Monday challenge over on the Always Playing With Paper blog to share with you. Here is the sketch...
 And here is my take...
The patterned paper is Recollections and the green glitter paper is The Paper Studio.
I used my BigKick and Spellbinders Nestabilities dies to cut the circles. The bling is from Michael's and the stamp was in a package I won from a blog hop back in December. :)
Very clean and simple! :)
Thanks for looking and I would love to hear what you think so leave a comment if you wish! :)

Rosettes Ribbons and Rhinestones!

This week over on the Die Cuttin Divas blog the challenge is ribbons rosettes and rhinestones! Here is what I thought of for this challenge...
I was also inspired by this old stamp set I found in one of my boxes. It's TPC Studios Jungle. I love this little elephant! I stamped him with some Colorbox ink and then embossed him with some clear powder. The rosette I made from a strip of 12x12 Bazzill card stock. My die cuts you can't actually see because they are two circles I cut with my Big Kick and Spellbinders dies to hold the rosette together ;)

The rhinestones are up in the right hand corner and on the elephants eye. They are Studio G. The ribbon is sticking out off the edge over there on the right side and its an old Michael's dollar bin find. The card stock is Recollections and The Paper Company and the patterned paper is from my stash. I embossed the hand cut banner with my Texture Boutique and the Cuttlebug Bubble folder.

For some reason I could not get the close up of the rosette to upload properly, sorry :(

But I hope you like it anyway and I would love to hear what you have to say so leave a comment if you wish! :)

The Sweet Stop 151

Hello. I have a card to share with you that I made using The Sweet Stop sketch #151. Here is the sketch...
So here's what I did with it... :)
The patterned paper is Recollections. The pink glittery stickers are Colorbok that I found at Big Lots!
I cut the circles using my BigKick and Spellbinders dies. The stamp is a dollar bin find from Michael's and inked with some Colorbox ink. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart Punch and the gold bling is Recollections.
I hand cut the banner and the ribbon is from my stash. All the card stock is Recollections except the white which is The Paper Company.

Hope you like it, I would love to hear what you think so leave a comment if you wish! :)

Mojo Monday...on a Wednesday?

I think I am getting further from my goal of completing the Mojo Monday challenge on Monday... :) This week is a circle or square week. Here are the sketches...
Here is what I came up with...
The patterned papers are from  Recollections Mosaic Memories Stack (I LOVE that stack!) I taped three different styles together and then ran them through my BigKick to create the three toned circle in the background. All the circles are Spellbinders dies.
I used my Martha Stewart classic butterfly punch for the butterflies and the yellow chevron paper is from the Recollections Bright and Basics Stack. The purple bling is Studio G.
The stamp is old Hero Arts and I used some green Colorbox ink to ink it up with! )

Hope you like it (I really do!) I would love to hear what you think so leave a comment if you wish! :)

Pink Black White :)

Hello. Today I decided to play along with the My Creative Time Monday Madness Challenge. It's a Cricut Imagine challenge but you can still play along with patterned paper (that's what I did, because I have a Cricut Expression and not an Imagine...yet!) The colors were pink, white, black and grey. I stuck with pink black and white bc somehow I missed the grey, o well! ;) Here is what I came up with...
The patterned papers are Recollections from the Black and White stack and the Garden Florals stack. The twine is Pink Sorbet from The Twinery.
I'm still playing with my BigKick and Spellbinders dies! The card stock is all Recollections (except the white base which is The Paper Company.) The stamp is a Michael's dollar bin find and embossed in black. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch and the pearl is Studio 112.
The edge punch is also Martha Stewart. It's a punch around the page, Deco Fan.
I stamped the sentiment inside the card. :)

Thanks for looking, I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish! :)
