Flowers!!!

This week over on the ~Craft Us Crazy~ blog the challenge is Mother's Day and/or Flowers. Here is my card...
The flower is the stamp in the center. It's a Michael's dollar bin stamp and inked up with Colorbox ink. The card stock is Recollections. The silver paper is Making Memories and the doily paper is Recollections from the Mosaic Memories stack. They were both die cut with a PTI Half & Half die.
The doily is also PTI and the regular circle is Spellbinders. I hand cut the banner and the stamp is old Inkadinkado.
Here is a close up of those PTI die cut panels.

Hope you like it! Have a wonderful Sunday! I would love to hear what you think so leave a comment if you wish. :)

First Time Playing Along With the 2 Sisters Challenge!

Hello! I decided to try a new to me challenge. Over on the 2 Sisters Challenge blog, the challenge was to use flowers. Not a problem for me right now as I am obsessed with my new flower stamp! I actually bought it a while ago, but haven't played around with it. Now I can't stop using it! :) Here is my card...
I used a technique that I found on the Papertrey Ink blog a couple of weeks ago. You stamp the image and then without re-inking you stamp again until there is no more ink. You can use it to make backgrounds or gradations or whatever you want! I've used the technique before but forgot about it! :)
I used my BigKick and Spellbinders Circle and Lacey Circle dies for the shape. The flower stamp is from the Michael's dollar bin and the Thanks stamp is Studio G. The ink is Colorbox. The card stock is Recollections.
I used my Fiskars paper crimper to crimp the background panel and a PTI Half & Half die for the Recollections black and white dotted paper. )

Hope you like it! I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish! :)

Unscripted Sketches #154

So I actually got some of the day to myself yesterday and I ran to my scrapbooking/bedroom (they are unfortunately one and the same) and made a few cards for a few challenges. The first one up is for the Unscripted Sketch #154 Challenge. Here is the sketch...
 And here is my interpretation...
The background paper is from the Recollections Mosaic Memories stack. The ribbon is from JoAnn's.
I used my BigKick and Spellbinders Lacey Squares dies for the brown scalloped square. Both squares are Bazzill card stock. The flower stamp is from Michael's dollar bin. The leaves are from and old stamp set and the Thanks stamp is from Walmart. The ink is Colorbox.
Hope you like it!

Thanks for looking and I would love to hear what you think so leave a comment if you wish. :)

Pastels

Over on the Die Cuttin' Divas blog the challenge this week is to use pastels. Here is what I came up with...
The patterned paper is all Recollections from the Garden Floral stack. I used another Half & Half die from PTI.
I hand cut the banner out of pink Recollections card stock. The stamp is old Inkadinkado and I used black Colorbox ink. The stars are old Colorbok.
The doily is also PTI and I couldn't get a good pic of it, but the paper is Colorbok glitter paper. The circle is Spellbinders and I used Bazzill card stock. The cute little bunny is a Michael's dollar bin find and I used some Martha Stewart ink. :)
Hope you enjoyed it! I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish.

Three Shades of Green :)

This week over on the "Less is More" blog the challenge is to use three shades of green. So here is what I came up with...
Have I mentioned lately that I am obsessed with Papertrey Ink? :) Because I am! LOL! I used one of the Half&Half dies for the ends of the checked paper (which is old DCWV.)
The stamp is Studio G and I used Martha Stewart Leaf Green ink to ink it up with.
The twine is Honeydew from The Twinery.

Thanks for looking and I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish! :)

Pacman 12x12 Layout

I have been working on some layouts lately...slowly but surely! :) Here is one of my favorites of the moment...
I don't remember if it was my Grandma Cook or my Aunt Ginny, but one of them crocheted this Pacman, complete with ghosts (not pictured :)
I used this Sketchy Thursdays sketch...
It's very "loosely" based on this sketch. :)
Zac decided that Pacman was better on his head! The embellishments are from my stash, and the card stock is Recollections. All the patterned paper is DCWV.
That notecard is a PTI die cut and I cut it out of some scrap card stock. The brads there on the right of the photo are Making Memories and Recollections that I had never opened til now. (I have really got to start shopping my stash more!)
I used my Gypsy, Cricut Expression, and the Boys Will Be Boys cartridge for the title. I used some card stock scraps from my stash to cut them out with. The stickers are old Momenta that I found at Big Lots.
I didn't add too much as the background paper is really busy. :) I love those robots! I have had this DCWV paper stack for awhile and am just now making a dent!

I think I will enter this into the Use It Tuesday Anything Goes Challenge as EVERYTHING is from my stash that I dug out and used!

Thanks for looking! Hope you have a wonderful day! I would love to hear what you think so please leave a comment if you wish! :)

Cards for Aunt Ginny

Personal Note: My Great Aunt Ginny (my grandmother's sister) just had a really bad fall. She is in the hospital with cracked vertebrae and stitches in her forehead. It's not looking too well. She is 89, but I swear if something crazy is going to happen it will happen to her! She has been through some rough stuff. I love her lots, so if you are the praying type please send a few her way. Good vibes/mojo is also much appreciated.
I always think "I'm gonna get a card made just for so and so and send it tomorrow." And I always get busy and forget. I was going to send my grandmother Cook (not the one related to my aunt Ginny) a few cards to cheer her up and I waited too late...so this time as soon as I heard she was in the hospital I went into my craft/bedroom and made two cards. One from me and my family and one for my Mom to give her.
The card stock is Recollections and Bazzill. The banner and doily are PTI.
I hand cut the banner. The stamp is Studio G and I used some Martha Stewart ink to ink it with. The rhinestones are Darice.
The ribbon is from my stash. This is the card from me and my family.
The patterned paper for this one is Recollections. The card stock is Bazzill and the glitter paper is Colorbok.
The doily is PTI. The stamp is the same Studio G stamp as above but his time I used black Colorbox ink. The rhinestones are The Paper Studio.
This is the card my Mom sent.

Hope you like them and again prayers and good vibes/mojo are much appreciated. Have a wonderful day. :)
