Clean&Simple FTL#180

I think (along with Mojo Monday) that Clean & Simple Stamping is one of my very favorite-est blogs for inspiration and sketches. :) Here is the sketch for this week over on Clean and Simple...
So fun right? :) Here is my take...
This is a 4x4 square card and it's actually the 2nd one I did. I wasn't liking the colors or papers I chose for the first one...
The patterned paper is Recollections and the ribbon is another Michael's dollar bin find. The rhinestones are also Michael's.
The flower stamp is from stash (but most likely another Michael's dollar bin find, are we seeing a pattern here?) :) The sentiment is from the .97 cent bin at Wal Mart. :)

Well thanks for looking and I would love to hear your thoughts so leave a comment if you wish! :)

Christmas RED :)

Hello there, I have a Christmas card for you using the CPS Sketch #254. One of the DT Members did a Christmas/Winter card with the sketch and I really liked the idea, so I also did a Christmas card. :) Here is the sketch...
I flipped it sideways sort of...here is what I came up with...
I love all the peppermint paper from the various Recollections Christmas Collections so I used those papers. The ribbon is from Michael's dollar bin. :)
I cut the scalloped circle and circle with my Cricut Expression using my Gypsy and the Elegant Edges cartridge. I embossed the white background paper with my Texture Boutique and a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. The stamp is Studio G and embossed in green powder. The gems are old Darice.
One last look! :)

Hope you like it, thanks for looking! :) I would love to hear your thoughts so leave a comment if you wish! :)

Mojo Monday for a Busy Saturday! :)

I just love me some Mojo Monday! I actually made the card yesterday, but didn't get to post it. I decided I wasn't going to be intimidated by the circle sketch anymore and I was going to try it so I took out my Gypsy used the Elegant Edges cartridge and cut out a 3ishx3ish scallop circle card! :) Here is the sketch...
And here is my take on the circle...
It wouldn't sit up exactly straight for a photo...but here it is. I'm pretty pleased with it. :) For my first time, anyway. :) The patterned paper and the ribbon are from my stash. The card stock is Recollections.
Here is a close up. The Sentiment is  a Hampton Art stamp that I embossed with blue pearl powder. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch and the pearls are Studio 112.
A little side view...lol. The border punch is Martha Stewart Zig Zag.

I also want to give a shout out to Lisa (My Princess-Peaches) because she just recently tried circle cards as well, so it inspired me to try because I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything she creates! She is one of my biggest inspirations whether she knows it or not! :) Hope you are doing well Lisa, and stay safe with all that bad weather! We are praying for yall! :)

Color Challenge! #100

I made this card for the Challenge Me Monday challenge over on the Fantabulous Cricut blog. It is their 100th challenge and it's a color challenge to use Turquoise, Purple and Green. :) Here is what I came up with...
The patterned paper is Recollections. The stamp is from the .97 cent bin at Wal Mart and I embossed it with purple pearl powder.
I hand cut the banner. All the card stock is Recollections as well. I cut the oval with my Cricut Expression, Gypsy, and the Elegant Edges cartridge. The border punch is Fiskar's Upper Crest.
Here's is the side view. I used Elmer's Craft Medium Pop Up glue dots to give the oval some dimension. :)

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend, thanks for looking! Feedback is always appreciated! :)

It's A Guy Thing :)

Hello and Happy Friday!!!!! I have a 12x12 layout to share with you today. I used this weeks Sketch Inspiration Sketch #309. Here is the sketch...
And here is my take...
I used DCWV The Guy stack for my background paper and embellishments.
I cut the title with my Cricut Expression using the Boys Will Be Boys cartridge. I used my gypsy because it's easier to see the font on it. :) The card stock is Bazzill and The Paper Studio.
Here is the journaling tag. I used some elements from the Guy Stack and hand wrote the journaling itself. The border punch is EK Success Dotted Wave.
I used my Making Memories Slice and the Vintage Findings card to cut out the hand, and the little tag is from the Guy Stack as well.
For the big dotted circle I used my Slice and the Basics 2 card. The small scallop circle is the EK Success layering scallop punch set on the biggest scallop. And I cut a 5x5 square of Bazzill card stock and used my Martha Stewart punch around the page Loops punch. I also added some faux stitching with a green glitter gel pen.

This layout is just to show off a funny picture of my Husband and Son. During the summers here in Texas it gets SUPER hot so my DH usually walks around in his shorts, so I let my son do the same. :) They look like twins (at least I think so...) in this picture! :)

Thanks for looking, feedback is always appreciated! Have a happy Friday! :)

"Less is More" Scraps Challenge!

Just a quick post. :) The "Less is More" Challenge right now is to use your scraps. Easy for me, I use them all the time! So here is what I came up with...
The patterned paper is the only new thing on this card...it's Recollections from their Black and White stack. All the card stock is Recollections and from my scrap pile. The glitter paper is DCWV, also from my scrap pile. :)
The stamp is Inkadinkado and I embossed it with black powder.

I rarely stamp inside cards, but I just got this stamp from Michael's and I really wanted to use it and it wouldn't fit on the front so Wahlah, it fit inside! :)

This card really fits my clean and simple style and it's perfect for my birthday stash! :) Thanks for looking and feedback is always appreciated! :)

Oh! PS: here is a pic of my scrap stash... :)
Lots and lots to choose from, eh? :)

Stuck on Christmas :)

Hello there! This is another Christmas card! I did this one for the current challenge over on the Jingle Belles blog: Stuck on You, to use stickers! :) I have a ton of stickers and for some reason hardly ever use them! So I pulled some Christmas stickers out and got to work. Here is what I came up with...
The patterned paper is Recollections and the card stock is The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby's brand.)The stickers are K&Company (old from my stash.)
The ric rac is from my stash and I cut the sentiment with my Slice using the Mistletoe card.
Here is a close up of the stickers. the circle and scallop circle were cut with my Slice using the Basic 1 card and the Noel card.
This card measures 4x4. I really like how it turned out. It was very quick and simple. :) Hope you like it too, feedback is always appreciated! :)
