Think Outside the Box

For the 2nd week of celebration for the CASE Study's Anniversary the challenge is to Think Outside the Box. Try something new to you...well I have only tried paper piecing once before with disastrous results so I stayed far far away from it. You would think it would be easy to paper piece something, but for me, it's WAY HARDER than it looks! Well, I decided to give it another go...starting out simple at first...

I took my Mummy stamp and pieced in some of his bandages...
Here is a close up of the little guy. I didn't want to do all of the bandages because I thought that would look over loaded. I like that just a few of them are different. ;)
Aren't those little glitter ghosts fun?

Anyhoo, hope you like it. :) I would love to hear your thoughts so please leave a comment if you wish.

  1. oh, you rocked the paper piecing! I HAVE to do it, because I'm not a patient colourer! LOL LOVE that sweet little image :) Thanks for helping us celebrate our 2nd Anniversary over on CASE Study this week :)

  2. I'd never guess that you're unsure about paper piecing, this is so cool! I especially like how you cut that little newsprint bit so that it includes the word "Halloween" - fantastic!! Thanks for joining us for the CASE Study anniversary celebrations! xxx

  3. I never thought of piecing just a few of the bandages on this image, but it looks so cool! Love the paper with text, especially. The whole design is so cute. Thanks for joining in the celebration at CASE Study this week!
